California Beach Hockey Club Takes Over Hockey Operations at Chapman Sports Park
Garden Grove, CA – July 16, 2024 – The California Beach Hockey Club (CBHC) is thrilled to announce that it will be taking over all hockey operations at Chapman Sports Park from Pacific Coast Hockey. This exciting transition marks a significant milestone for CBHC as it expands its mission to promote street and ball hockey throughout Southern California.
Starting in August 2024, CBHC will be offering adult leagues at Chapman Sports Park, with further announcements about the youth/NHL STREET program to follow shortly. This move is set to enhance the local hockey scene by providing top-notch facilities, inclusive programming, and community engagement opportunities.
Expanding the Hockey Community
"We are incredibly excited to bring our passion and experience to Chapman Sports Park," said Chet Johnson, President of California Beach Hockey Club. "Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where players of all ages and skill levels can come together to enjoy the game of hockey. This transition allows us to expand our reach and further our mission of fostering community, inclusivity, and athletic excellence."
Enhanced Facilities and Programming
As part of the transition, CBHC plans to implement significant improvements to the rink at Chapman Sports Park. These upgrades will ensure a safe and high-quality playing experience for all participants. The club will offer a variety of programs, including competitive adult leagues and youth initiatives in partnership with NHL STREET, designed to make hockey accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Community Engagement and Support
CBHC is dedicated to building strong connections within the Garden Grove community. The club plans to host a series of community events, themed tournaments, and open days to boost engagement and visibility. These events will provide opportunities for residents to learn more about CBHC, participate in interactive activities, and support local vendors.
Chet Johnson added, “We’d like to thank Kevin and Beth for all their help during this transition. One of our goals is to pick up where Pacific Coast Hockey left off and continue to grow the game we love. They’ve been a force in the community, and we want to continue that legacy by enhancing the hockey experience for everyone involved.”
Join the Excitement
Registration for the upcoming adult leagues starting in August 2024 is now open. CBHC invites hockey enthusiasts, local businesses, and community members to get involved and join the excitement.
